Barley Hall is an ideal venue for a special lunch to celebrate a birthday, christening, anniversary or even perhaps a graduation. Intimate lunches can take place either in the Great Hall or the Parlour, and can either be a seated meal, buffet or canapé reception.

The Great Hall

Parties held in this remarkable high-beamed room, which is dressed with hand painted hangings and features a decorative medieval tiled floor will certainly be one that you and guests remember for years to come.

The Parlour

Celebrations within the Parlour will enjoy an exceptional atmosphere lit by glistening candles highlighting the rich red wall hangings in this superb room. The Parlour was once the room from which the Lord Mayor of York, Alderman William Snawsell resided over his business affairs and the furnishings recreated here reflect the high status of this important citizen of York in the 15^th century.
